When you mix a top, award-winning vineyard, gorgeous Hudson Valley scenery, and an event like the Strawberry, Chocolate & Wine Festival, you have yourself a winning combination! We are talking about Baldwin Vineyards—an amazing local vineyard just 30 minutes away from our bed and breakfast. This summer festival will be taking place over several weekends this summer and is a great reason to plan a trip to our neck of the woods.
Sprawling over 37 beautiful acres in Pine Bush, NY, Baldwin Vineyards has been creating fine wine since 1982 with tradition and passion being pinnacle elements in their creative processes. When they opened in 1983 with five wines, three of them were awarded medals at the New York State Wine Competition. They immediately put their stake in the ground as a top New York Vineyard and haven’t looked back since. Over the years they have earned top honors for their Chardonnay, Merlot, Riesling, Brut Champagne, Port and a many other wines. One area they are very proud of is their work to pioneer the premium fruit wine category in New York. Their first and most popular is their Strawberry Wine and then they added in Spiced Apple and Black Raspberry wines. They are so unique and delicious!
The Strawberry, Chocolate & Wine Festival will take place from noon to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday on the weekends that it is happening. You can see the entire events calendar to pick your desired weekend here. It is an opportunity for you to taste 12 of their award winning wines and three delectable strawberry-chocolate desserts. There will be live music to enjoy and your $12 ticket includes an engraved wine glass that is yours to keep. There are inside and outside picnic areas and you are welcome to bring other snacks if you desire.
After an afternoon of wine and desserts, you can choose another adventure nearby or simply come home to our inn and relax with a book or coffee on the expansive outdoor patio and watch the world go by.
