He was a very creative and bold author and he inspired the well known play, Cyrano de Bergerac, written in 1897, where the plot is driven by a man who wants to express his undying love to the woman of his dreams. Not only will we provide our concierge service to all couples, our innkeepers can help you (secretly of course!) plan the perfect proposal. Sure, some folks go all out and rent stadiums, fly banners behind airplanes, or even jump out of airplanes for their proposals, but sometimes, the more simple but highly intentional plans make the biggest impression. All you need to do is call ahead to the inn and alert the innkeepers that you are taking advantage of the proposal package and they will steer you through the rest.
With this two-night package you will receive a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine from the local Shawangunk wineries in your room upon your arrival. In the morning enjoy a complimentary three-course gourmet breakfast as well as complimentary snacks, water, tea and coffee throughout the length of your stay. Internet access and parking are also complimentary at our inn and just a glance through our rooms and suites will show the elegance and level of pampering and comfort you will experience here. We also have extra add-ons, such as an in-room massage, that you can include in your reservation. This package begins at $475 +tax and it must be booked directly with the Caldwell House.
