Woman wearing black holding her fork over a colorful plate of italian food on a white plateHow’s your summer going? We hope you are able to fit in lots of patio parties, beach days, evening walks, bonfires, and family and friends get-togethers… that’s what it’s all about right? Last week, we introduced the first of our day trips in the Hudson Valley. It is seriously tough to choose our favorite things to do during a stay at our bed and breakfast. There are just too many options! We have hosted many guests that come for a two-day stay and really pack in a lot to see the most of everything nearby. We’d love to know your favorites too, so please comment below. But for now, let’s take a look at how to spend two days in the gorgeous Hudson Valley.

Hudson Valley Trip Day 1

After a memorable gourmet and deliciously homemade breakfast in our dining room, head out for a trip to Sugar Loaf Art & Craft Village. This unique place is just 20 minutes away and perfect for a relaxing morning adWoman in dense forest wearing a white and orange canvas backpackventure. Sugar Loaf was founded in 1756 and is a hamlet of artisans, crafters, and boutiques. You’ll find everything from Native American items to leather, furniture, paintings, jewelry, pottery, and more. After you have shopped around and visited with the artists, switch gears for some outdoor adventure with Storm King Adventure Tours!

Storm King Adventure Tours, located in Cornwall-on-Hudson, offer some fantastic tours on the Hudson River. Try the 2-hour hidden cove tour, the 3-hour Bannerman’s Island Kayak Tour, or the 3-hour Moodna Marsh Tour, just to name a few. All levels and abilities are welcome.

When the day comes to a close, you will want to refuel with a memorable dinner, and a guest favorite (a favorite of ours too!) is Blu Pointe. Waterfront fine dining at its best is what you’ll find at this restaurant. Located in Newburgh, Blu Pointe is right on the scenic Hudson River and offers picturesque views and a fantastic farm-to-table menu.

Hudson Valley Trip Day 2

Rise and shine with your second gourmet breakfast and start the day on the right foot with an invigorating hike! Bear Mountain State Park offers visitors 5,205 acres for biking, hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming, and more. There are around 22 trails to be found, ranging from easy to hard depending on what kind of challenge you are looking for.

How about winding down from a hike with some window shopping at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets? These outlet stores are an easy 20-minute drive away from our bed and breakfast and offer over 240 stores and services. Outlet shopping means deal shopping and everyone likes a good sale!

Cap off this amazing day with a visit to Bella Luna Ristorante Italiano. If you appreciate an authentic Italian dinner then this restaurant is a must. This place is just ten minutes from us and has that perfect atmosphere you’d expect at an Italian spot – casual and romantic with décor that is old traditional Tuscan. The menu is amazing and the service is top notch. Every Tuesday and Friday they offer specials on their menu.

What are you waiting for? Adventure awaits! Book direct through our website for best rates and contact us anytime for further information about our bed and breakfast or planning your next getaway to the Hudson Valley.
