Being stuck at home during this Covid-19 crisis has had many of us doing whatever we can to stay busy. Whether it’s with spring cleaning, movie marathons, gardening or Skype chats with friends and family, we are all doing what we can to make the best of it. We know many of you also had to cancel travel and postpone long-awaited trips. Here at our bed and breakfast we are missing having our home filled with guests. We don’t want you to cancel your travel plans to the Hudson Valley – just delay them! You can still make future reservations through our website and plan a getaway to look forward to. There are many museums, historical sites, zoos, national parks and more that are offering folks the chance to fulfill their wanderlust through online virtual tours. Here are just a few!

DIA: Beacon – Located on the banks of the Hudson River, this museum has an extensive collection of art from the 1960s to the present. You can watch videos of exhibitions and audio talks between artists.

Storm King Art Center – This incredible art sculpture park is a favorite ours personally but also of our guests as it is just a few minutes away. You can still view all of the art, upcoming exhibitions and artist information online.

Metropolitan Museum of Art – Just over an hour from our bed and breakfast, this museum is the largest art museum in the United States. From the comfort of your home, take part in The Met 360° Project, an award-winning series of six short videos that invites viewers around the world to virtually visit The Met’s art and architecture. The spherical 360° technology used in these state of the art videos, allows you to see the museum as never before!

State Parks – There are so many places to adventure outdoors in the Hudson Valley but if you can’t get outdoors, then explore virtually! This site offers 360-degree virtual tours of more than 125 state parks.

Culinary Institute of America – Spending some time in the kitchen is a great way to stay busy during this stay at home quarantine. Why not learn from the master chefs at the Culinary Institute of America here in New York? Watch tutorials and even take a virtual tour of the New York campus.

Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site – History buffs will appreciate this unique virtual tour President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s home, “Springwood”, and the Presidential Library and Museum.
