Storm King Art Center Reopening in Historic Hudson Valley

There have been many ups and downs as we have all weathered the Covid-19 situation. We want to send out big thanks to all of our guests who have been patient with us here at The Caldwell House! We have put plans in place, which you can read here, to keep our guests comfortable and safe. We are glad many of the “downs” are over and speaking of the “ups” we are so excited to share that the Storm King Art Center is finally reopening!

When it comes to nearby attractions, the Storm King Art Center is definitely a favorite of ours and our guests. This incredible outdoor sculpture park boasts over 500-acres of beautiful New York Hudson Valley landscape. Don’t worry, you don’t need an artist’s background to appreciate what this art center has to offer. The large-scale sculptures that are dotted around the park under the open sky are fascinating and each so unique. While we are still being encouraged to practice safe social distancing, this will be a great place to spend an afternoon as the expansive park allows you to explore at your leisure with no one else around!

Storm King anticipates opening their 2020 season beginning July 15th and will be open Wednesday – Monday each week. To protect the health and safety of visitors and the community, they will be offering outdoor-only experiences and will be limiting the number of visitors in the park at a time with both timed entry and advance ticketing. We wanted to alert you now as tickets will be available for the public starting July 8th and with being first-come, first-served they are sure to go fast!

During a weekend getaway with us, there is no shortage of things to do and see. If art is not your preference, we can help you plan a weekend around food, outdoor activities, hiking, shopping and more! Book online today and contact us anytime for more information.
