We had the pleasure of staying at the Inn for two nights recently and can’t say enough about how enjoyable it was. The Inn is a very well kept old Historic Inn with period furniture and decor. Our room was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. We had the room with a fireplace and enjoyed it so much. Dena makes the most delicious breakfasts and John is such a personable Innkeeper. Loved them both. We will definitely go back for another visit and would highly recommend this to our friends. The location is wonderful also! Close to many of the sites in the area.

We hade a wedding to go to in the area so we decided to stay with Dena and John at their lovely B&B, The Caldwell House. The house was beautiful and is located in a very quiet part of town. Just what the doctor ordered. Our room at a very large flat screen with Netflix and hundred’s of stations to chose from if you so desired. Our favorite part of the day was to sit on the porch and get some reading in as we usually don’t have the time for that at home. It was so relaxing…
The breakfasts were very good as are the innkeepers, Dena and John. Since we were going to a wedding, my wife and I needed the appropriate attire. I seemed to have everything but my wife forgot her small black bag for the wedding. At breakfast the day of the wedding, I asked Dena where a local store was so my wife could buy one for the afternoon affair. She looked at my wife and offered to lend her one for the evening’s event. My wife was happy and I was even more happier since I hate shopping. Dena and John are two of the nicest innkeepers we have ever stayed with over the years. By the time we left to go home, they truly felt like family.
If you want a great place to stay with even nicer folks, you really can’t beat The Caldwell House. You won’t be disappointed.

The Caldwell House is a gem in the town of Salisbury Mills. The owners Dena and John were so welcoming and made me feel right at home. Everything was as advertised, and it was a lot more comfortable than some bed and breakfasts I’ve stayed at in the past. The breakfast was amazing! Dena is a great cook and was able to create special “dairy-free” raspberry crepes to accommodate my lactose intolerance. They were delicious and I was thrilled to be able to have the real “bed and breakfast” experience. There is a train station only a few minutes away that takes you right into the city, so you can get a full experience of New York. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you for the fantastic trip!
