Apples, apples, and more apples is the name of the game come October in the quaint town of Warwick. Located just over a half-hour away from our inn, Warwick is in the in the southwest part of Orange County and boasts a small-town charm surrounded by wineries, orchards and farm markets. The very popular Applefest started in 1989 and has grown to attract tens of thousands of visitors. It is now the region’s largest festival and one of the top fall festivals in the country. This festival brings locals and travelers back year after year to sample the mid-Hudson’s bountiful harvest. Applefest is literally every kind of festival you’d want rolled into one. Take a celebration of food, music, art, carnival, a harvest fest, in a great town and there you have Applefest. This year, the festivities will be taking place Sunday, October 6th.
