The Hudson Valley Rail Trail offers our guests a picturesque adventure. It stretches 7.1 miles over Black Creek, through hardwood forests, and under two stone-arch bridges and connects the towns of New Paltz, Lloyd, and Highland. At the eastern end, the Rail Trail meets the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park. Here you will find spectacular views from 212 feet above the Hudson River—definitely worth checking out!

The Hudson Valley Rail Trail WinterFest brings together the local community for a fun-filled afternoon. The event will take place Saturday, February 8th from 11am – 2pm at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail Depot. This popular outdoor winter festival will feature a chili contest where over 20 regional restaurants bring their best batches of chili to compete for the coveted “Best of Fest” People’s Choice Award. Guests will also enjoy roasted chestnuts, toasted marshmallows, light snacks and beverages, hay and wagon rides, wood carving demonstration, karaoke and activities for children of all ages. Admission is only $2 with children 6 and under free.
